ADD Cambodia Programme has been a long journey in Cambodia for 15 years now. It is well known as the core right-based organization for development of people with disabilities.
Our key strategies contributed to the Govern- ment’s Development Strategy, elaborating the poverty reduction agenda, providing framework for support by development partners and with a comprehensive set of indicators to monitor progress towards achieving Cambodia’s MDGs. Our key strategy also meets the core principles of working together includes mainstreaming disability across development programme, ensuring DPOs have the resources to empower disabled people to engage in monitoring the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, and the law to promote and protect the rights of persons with disabilities.

Our focus includes: Strengthening the Capacity of Disabled People’s Organizations through support in focus areas to ensure that they become independent and sustainable and above all they will become unique of people with disabilities with one voice. We work in closer collaboration with Commune Councils and development NGOs to ensure Mainstreaming and influencing Disability into the poverty reduction strategy of Cambodia. Disability Law is now in place.
ADD is committed to contributing to monitoring the implementation of Disability Law with a watching mechanism and support disabled people’s organizations to move forwards eradicating discrimination and protecting the rights of disabled persons. ADD is ensuring that issues of marginalized group of disabled persons are taken into account in its direct and supporting activities.
